Exclamation Bumper Weight

Hello CD,

Quick question. Rule 8.3.1 <R07> G states:

Quote:
Each set of BUMPERS (including any fasteners and/or structures that attach them to the ROBOT) must weigh no more than 20 pounds.
Does set mean 2? That every 2 bumpers should be under 20 pounds, or that all the bumpers including fasteners should be no more than 20 pounds?

Thanks

Re: Bumper Weight

"Each set" is the determiner.

1 set of bumpers goes on the robot every match and covers all four (five, three, six, etc.) sides.

Therefore each set of bumpers that goes on the robot can weigh 20 lbs. Fasteners are included depending on what is permanently attached to the bumper and what is not (<R07-J>).

Short version: all bumpers on the robot at any one time should weigh less than 20 lbs with all attachment hardware.

Re: Bumper Weight

You are allowed to have 2 sets of bumpers this year - one red, the other blue. Each set as a whole must weigh no more than 20 pounds.
