"out of the box"
in rule <R92>, FRC refers to an "out of the box" condition, yet they fail to define it. Any ideas EXACTLY what can and cant be done to cylinders?

Re: "out of the box"
<R73> is very explicit as to what is allowed.
• Assembling and connecting pneumatic components using the pre-existing threads, mounting brackets, quick-connect fittings, etc. • Removing the mounting pin from a pneumatic cylinder, provided the cylinder itself is not modified. • Labeling applied to indicate device purpose, connectivity, functional performance, etc. Anything not detailed above is not allowed. |

Re: "out of the box"
I believe you mean <R72> if you are talking about pnuematics like it seems. In this case "of the shelf" as the printed copy of the rules I have with states means that I can goi to a distrubutor and buy the part. The only thing you can do is to a pneumatic cylinder is knock out the clevis pin. Anyother modifications will be failed at inspection.
