Rookie teams are not eligible to win Chairman's Award, but many rookie teams submit an entry because it is a requirement for NASA grants.

FIRST encourages rookies to work on a Chairman's Award submission and to give it to the judges who visit your pit. This submission can help judges get to know your team for consideration for the rookie awards.
