Team 2022's kicker in action!

We worked very hard to get the pneumatics optimal on our robot. It's kicks are consistent.

Wow! It's amazing! Is that a 100% Pneumatics system? We're developing one right now and we're really close to making it consistent... Anyhow, make sure you can keep it consistent with the bumpers on.

Wow, one heck of a kick. With my novice experience, I would say that your follow through is doing you the greatest good.

And I have to say, good work with the pneumatics. Many people use heavily augmented pneumatics.

This is a 100% pneumatic system, and as of right now, it is very consistent if the ball is in on the ball stop. If the ball is away from the ball stop then we get more of a low, line drive kick.

Re: Team 2022's kicker in action!

We actually had to calculate the angles and distance at which to kick the ball very carefully. Lot's of trig and physics to get the right mounting distances. We tested and prototyped with MANY different kinds of kicking (elastic, motor powered, kickplate, pretty much everything you can think of), but we found that pneumatics alone would get the job done.

Re: Team 2022's kicker in action!

I am very jealous that I graduated last year. It looks awesome guys. Hope to see it in action at Chicago, and maybe you can let an old team member come check it out in the pit.
