Camera picture on Dashboard with default project code?
Another real short question:
If the camera is correctly configured and connected should there be the picture visible on the dashboard with just running the default project (and nothing else hooked up to the cRIO)?

Yes, as long as you upgraded everything to the latest set of Updates.
