ADXL345 Programming
Anyone have code samples of the ADXL345 being used connected to the gpio?
Also, looking for a code sample or help in using the bump sensor I1 I2. The FRC documentation seems to suggests you connect via J4 (SPI) to the side car GPIO, but the code samples I find are for (I2C) via J2. The part I need most at the moment is the bump sensor. |

Re: ADXL345 Programming
we used i2c for it, seems to work out ok, a bit of noise in it but not too much. my question is this, is there an advantage to doing it through the GPIO?

Re: ADXL345 Programming
I do not believe there is any benefit to using the GPIO, but since the FRC Sensor manual Rev A suggests you hook into the GPIOs, then I was trying to do it that way. I guess I can rewire to use the SPI. However, the "bump sensor" on it is also suggested to plug into the GPIO. So I figure plug it all in the GPIO, but then the code I see for it is SPI. I'll go ahead and use SPI, but still need to know if there is some code for using the "bump sensor". If not I guess I can reverse engineer it and use the analog.com specs if no one has anything.
