Logitech attack 3 joystick problem

after spending the day trying to perfect our tele-op program our logitech 3 attack controller was not operating correctly. when the joystick was in a neutral position the motor that it was controlling was spinning at nearly full speed. i am having trouble finding the error in programming and am unsure if there is just something wrong with the actual joystick. if anyone could help me in finding out how to adjust the dead band of the controller it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Logitech attack 3 joystick problem

The location of the joystick when the computer first sees it is treated as neutral. If the joystick wasn't physically centered at that moment, it will be offset until the next time it is reconnected.
