Assembly is not such a crazy idea. What about various shaped objects which must be put into the proverbial 'hole' (square peg - round hole ect.) This would require the manipulation of different shapes and pick and place capabilities in your machine. The bots could also all fight for the same 'holes' as it were, with the different colored oblects belonging to the different teams.
