Re: team 3080 problem help

Do you have your slot1 Analog module plugged in, with the jumper in the correct place, and power?

Do you have your slot4 digital module plugged in, connected to the DSC, and is the DSC powered?

Did you reboot after deploying code?

Did you test with an Ethernet tether (no radios)?

In the future, please post questions in a single forum, not multiple places.

Re: team 3080 problem help

No comms......

What is the IP of the cRio? Did you image it when you set it up?

what is the IP of the Classmate? It should be 10.xx.yy.5, for you that should be 10.30.80.5

Did you reboot after deploying code? How are you deploying code? If you are just pressing the "Play" button, that dosen't permanently save the code, you must right-click on the FRC Robot Boot-up deployment under Build Specifications and press "Run as Startup". It might ask you to Build, so right-click on Boot-up deployment and click "Build" then when it is done go and Run As Startup.

Re: team 3080 problem help

Here is your problem. The "Deploy" (play) button in Main dosen't actually save the code, it just places it in RAM and executes it. Thus, it will go away when you reboot. That is designed to test code, not permanently store it. In order to store it, right-click on "FRC Boot-up Deployment" under Build Specifications, and press "Run As Startup". It will deploy the code to flash, so it will stay when you reboot. If you just want to test the code, then you can go into Robot Main and press the play button, it's faster.

You only needed to do that once after running the LabVIEW update. Do you remember which version of the cRIO image you loaded? As of February 20, the current version is v20.

What do you mean by "press deploy"? If you're clicking the "run" arrow at the top of the Robot Main vi, that just puts the code in the cRIO's RAM and runs it. If you're choosing "Deploy" from the "FRC Robot Boot-up Deployment" popup menu, that does write it to the cRIO filesystem.

When you turn off the robot, it naturally stops running the program you were running. Unless you have done a "Run as startup", the cRIO isn't going to run any user code when it turns on.

You should have the Driver Station running throughout the entire process. Its Diagnostic tab will give information about what might not be connected properly. What does it tell you?
