You guys at NI are doing a great job, and we thank you.
However, mandatory updates to LabVIEW this late in the build cycle should not break existing user code, even if the changes are to add functionality or make the code match the documentation. The only exception would be a safety issue. In the specific case of the holonomic VI, the old VI should have been left alone, and a new VI, with a different name, should have been created. The old VI could be deleted after giving a month's notice to teams. Just my 2 cents. ~ |
