TEAM 1671 ROBOT DRIVING

Hello Teams!

Team 1671 wanted to share this video of their robot the night before we shipped. You should notice a "Ball Magnet" on one end of the robot triggered manually via the controller or automatically by an infrared proximity sensor. On the oppositte side of the robot is a pneumatic kicker assisted with surgical tubing. The design is based off of team 842, can't thank them enough for all of the videos and pictures they posted on here. The kicker can also be fired manually via the controller or tripped with an infrared proximity sensor.

Let us know if you have any questions about our bot. We'd be more than happy to answer them.

Also, out electronics drops down into the center of robot and can removed within a couple of minutes by disconnecting the quick connects for the motors and pnuematic solenoids.

P.S. - Don't mind the big orange tower thing sticking up, this was half of a prototype we had going on before we shipped and may be bringing a final design to competition with us to provide more defense.

A few specs:
8WD Powered with the KOP trannys with 2 CIM's on each side

Wheels are the AndyMark plaction wheels.

Kicker has a 1 1/2" bore with an 8" stroke with a 1/2" bore and 2" stroke pulling the latch.

Bot it just slightly too high to go under the tunner but can climb over the bumps. Kicker can kick a pretty good distance and easily into the next section. Our camera has been programmed to track and works, we have worked a little on autonomous, but will perfect it on Thursday and should be able to score.

See you at Long Beach in Week 4!
