Control Lag with Camera

When our camera is plugged in, we're experiencing essentially 1.5s lag between sending a command and the command being carried out. This is, obviously, not a good thing for driving. When the camera ethernet cable is removed, the lag goes away completely, leading me to believe it's an issue with the 'turnkey' camera code.

On another note, I don't think we noticed any lag before the DS/LabVIEW update last week.

Anyone else with an idea?

Re: Control Lag with Camera

This may be provoked by the camera, but caused by something else. Look for Doug Norman's post about error logging and give that a try. That was introduced in the last update I believe.

My error logging post can be found here:

Re: Control Lag with Camera

That's what I thought it was, but I didn't want to jump to conclusions. I've already made the code change, and I will test as soon as I have access to the robot (of course, the team is making last-minute deliberations on Victors vs. Jaguars... >.<)
