watchdog not fed when "enable" is first pressed
In labview, whenever we first hit "enable", a message briefly flashes saying the watchdog is not fed, and then after a fraction of a second it will go away and we'll be able to control the robot just fine (and won't get any more watchdog not fed messages for the duration of a match). If we click disable and then enable again, we'll get the same "watchdog not fed" message.
Is this okay, or will this cause our robot to shut down in competition at the very start? I'm hoping a brief watchdog failure upon startup is actually expected and okay. And is there a practice mode we can use that will mimic the competition mode? If our robot is going to shut down in competition, I'd like it to shut down for our practices too, so we know. |

Re: watchdog not fed when "enable" is first pressed
Well, I have good news and bad news.
Good news is that our team has the same problem, and I don't think you have anything to worry about. Bad news is that we have not been to competition yet, so I can't say for sure. Good news is that in the driver station, there is a button below autonomous and teleop that says practice, and that gives you the 15 second autonomous and a limited teleop. |

Re: watchdog not fed when "enable" is first pressed
That is normal, and documented behavior when switching from disabled to enabled.
We've been to a competition already with it. It doesn't matter. |
