How is the grid centered?

The Arena section of the competition manual states that "Each STARTING GRID is centered within its respective region, between the BUMPS and ALLIANCE WALL, and between the CENTER LINE and Guard Rail System." What I am wondering is if the grid is centered between the alliance wall and the center of the bump, or the alliance wall and the nearest edge of the bump. I've searched the manual and other posts and I can't find an answer, and precise measurements is vital for our autonomous. Any help is appreciated.
