So I went through all of our scouting photos and event photos that I had for FLR, and we are missing the following teams:
145,188, 211, 250, 3044, 1591, 3003
So if they arent already on TBA (I didnt check the list), someone else will need to supply them.

Re: The Blue Alliance, What Happened?

I heard this from one of our students who helped post FLR to TBA last year (I think)...

Quote:
The reason there are a lack of teams recording this year is because there is no "video capture" table anymore which means there is no direct feed from the system anymore.
Is that true?? Is there a reason? or is it different at different events?

Re: The Blue Alliance, What Happened?

I took at least a dozen photos via the FRC Tracker iPhone app during WI and submitted them as I took them. None have been approved for viewing by others. Can anyone at TBA confirm that they received some photos on Sat in WI?

Re: The Blue Alliance, What Happened?

I did this for the photos I uploaded to TBA and it should help out some more. If you open up the TBA page for a team, right by the photo of there robot, or blank space, there is a button that says "Photos of team #### on chief delphi". When you click this TBA redirects you to a search for that team using the tag "frc####". So inorder to make sure more pictures, and any, can be seen from TBA upload them to your photo gallery and make sure it includes the tag "frc####", along with any other appropriate tags.

At the Bayou Regional, James from 1477 asked if he could record and the field manager did not allow him to tap into the video feed. He was told the event is already being archived by FIRST.

The DiscoBots 2587 managed to piece together video from the stands to post on TBA. Hopefully FIRST starts allowing people to archive their event or at least releasing the footage that was archived.

This is my guess to what the field manager was talking about, but the problem is that most of us want to watch the regional events to help develop our strategy and scout what we'll be up against at the next event, and FIRST hasn't yet made this years archive at all.

It is true that FIRST has allowed some venues to deviate from the standard A/V setup to save money. Of the two regionals I went to, San Diego had the normal setup with multiple outputs. Phoenix had only one output, which was used for the webcast.

My suggestion would be to coordinate with the regional planning committees early. They may not even know that teams want to record the feed.

Oh wow just saw the one you were talking about, not our malfunction! (But I would love to see a pic of ours, it was pretty funny)

I was told by the AV table that they did not have any additional feeds. They had only one display in the pits, and it showed the video feed not the seed scores. You had to go to a computer monitor behind the scoring table to get seed scores. It does sound like the case of a low budget AV table.

I was told that I was being archived by NASA. Our team has requested it. I'll see what has come of it.
