Go to Post I am a mentor now and I would be more proud of a National Chairmans Award which acknowledges my many years of service to the team and the community rather than a National Championship which acknowledges one great robot I helped build. - The Lucas [more]

Two Great (non FRC) Videos

Okay... I just got e-mailed the link to this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=tPg1ZMiC9pA

and figure that at least someone on this forum knows the people who built this beautiful beast. Given what I've heard from our eastern friends this year, this might inspire some off-season build projects!

And following our BC VEX Robotics Championship last weekend (one of our afilliated VRC teams, 1346C captained an alliance that took the eventual tournament champions to a third match in the semis) a group of BCIT students made the following video http://www.bcit.ca/update/node/895

BCIT is British Columbia's premiere polytechnic institution and offers degree and diploma programs in mechanical engineering, including robotics technology.

Off to Seattle, tommorrow... looking forward to seeing some old friends again, and seeing how our machine does for real. It's been doing okay in practice, but I've got a funny feeling it won't be quite so lonely on the playing field!

Jason

Re: Two Great (non FRC) Videos

ROBOPLOW looks strangely similar to well know FRC game animation robot. Hmm...
