Northeast Utilities FIRST Connecticut Regional Can Drive

Team 694 is holding our second annual Regional Can Drive, and our next stop is Hartford! We're going to be collecting canned, non-perishable goods all regional long, with all proceeds going to City Harvest (www.cityharvest.org). Last year we collected over 100 lbs of food for the hungry, so please visit us in the stands (we'll be the huge red blob) and donate!

Re: Northeast Utilities FIRST Connecticut Regional Can Drive

I've got an idea for you team 694 - offer a coat check service for attendees the price of which is one of those cans you seek - in advance! Get the tournament admin to rope off a section with "racks" (are hangers really needed ??? just pile 'em up) We'll just pop a can into a coat pocket and have a place to park it where it won't clutter up viewing stands OR pit areas. You could also get more cans than you can carry home.

Any preference for what should be inside those cans? (even if there is no coat check)

Oh man, oh man, a coat check would make my day! They really should do that at regionals, it would save room in the stands! Hmmm....

Coat check or not, 1501 will have cans for you

Although this is an awesome idea we don't have the time to figure something like this out or organize it. In fact we still don't know what we are going to do with our own coats.

None, we gladly take any non-perishable goods.

Thanks you to all teams that donate and I look forward to seeing all the teams in less than a week!

Re: Northeast Utilities FIRST Connecticut Regional Can Drive

You might not need your coats the long range forecast calls for temps in the 70's. But it was still a good idea about the coat check.
