LED Outputs on cypress
We'd like to have an LED output on the cypress to let us know when the kicker is wound. We have the software setting digital output to 1 when the kicker is wound up, but I don't know how to connect the LED to the cypress to allow it to turn on when the digital output is on. Would we connect the LED to the digital output 1 pin and power? or the output pin and ground?
Thanks in advance! |

Re: LED Outputs on cypress
my thought would be digital output to ground since the digital output, when true, would "give out" power, make sure that the led is in there the right way though,

Re: LED Outputs on cypress
Generally, you want to use the digital output to sink current
through the LED which is hooked to the supply rail on the Cypress through a resistor used to limit the current. You turn the led on by sending zero to the output. Eugene |
