What's this homework business I hear of?

Anyway, I put it off too. School is for learning, home is for other stuff. Keep your grades up but don't let your homework take your life away (I made that mistake last year in 10th grade).

I'm currently doing Spanish 3-4 Vocab if anyone cares. <sarcasm>fun</sarcasm>

In college, I would always do my homework at the computer. Bad idea. Always got distracted. I got it done-- but it took 3 times longer than if I were to go somewhere else and do it.

I found that when writing papers, I would have to take my laptop outside or in a room without internet access, or else I'd be working on chiefdelphi.com or reading slashdot or something, and not be doing my homework.

Oh well, those days are over. Yay.

I very, very rarely did homework in high school. I have probably done less in college.

In high school, I managed. In college, it gets you into trouble.

But, then, I don't fit in well with the school system. I never have.

Don't be like me, kids. Do your homework.

Exact same for me. Math Analysis (next above Algebra 2) Chapter 2.1-2.3 to be specific. It's about Matrices (plural for matrix) whatever those are.

My friends call me OCDoan, which stands for obsessive compulsive Doan (my last name). So I rarely ever procrastinate, I know...its really weird. I think I was the only person not to get senioritis at all, actually my senior year GPA was my highest ever.

The one class that I did slack off a little was my calc class...actually most math classes. Here are my little tips:

study groups...with people who actually know what they're talking about and you won't be distracted with

lists...write down what you need to do and putting checks to what you finished is for some reason really fulfililng for me

look ahead...yeah, this will all pay off for college and for the future, we already know that. you can also look in the near-term future. do your one page of math tonight or 20 assignments the night before the test. the fewer nights where you pull all nighters to compensate for slacking, the more time you have to go out with friends and doing real fun stuff (not just surfing/IM'ing in which all those hours add up to where you could have done something much better).

Geez, I really hate to sound like mom but those are my tips because everyone always asks me how I can do soooo many activities and hard classes but still manage to have time to go out or not stay up til 3am doing hw. But alas, I'm in college now...so its a whole new ballgame.

I have a question

I've heard a few people say that they never did their homework in high school. I was just wondering what happens to your grades/job/college/life/etc. I plan on keep doing my homework but I'm curious, is it okay in the longrun to not do it? What happens?
