Re: Funny things to ask for on the PA system

Well, today being April Fool's Day, we were expecting to get some pranks at our regional, but I didn't hear any. We'll certainly put some in tomorrow. I think we'll start off with a metric crescent wrench.

On at least two occasions I have borrowed one from Team 60. OK once was to show somebody and prove they do indeed exist. They can be Hard to find though. I'm still looking for one of my own. Just the thing for those pesky odd-size metric bolts

At Sacramento, our team thought that the 89 penalties our alliance received in one match was a joke.

Turns out we were penalized for each of the 89 seconds after our alliance's ball handler didn't return the ball through the trident

Re: Funny things to ask for on the PA system

We were fouled up! We asked for a metric crescent wrench and the lady knew what that was. We were shut down. The taste of defeat is bitter.
want to ask for anything more, so if anyone else at North Star is reading this this weekend, please try something!

I want to ask for someone to come up and tell them a joke to say. I think that would be pretty funny.

Re: Funny things to ask for on the PA system

Someone at the Michigan Event asked a girl out to prom through the main field announcing system.

Which makes me think...

"A date to prom..."

Yes. Yes she did.

I think Akash was referring to generally asking for a date to prom, and not in the manor that the particular young man asked out a girl, which, I might add, takes guts.

Re: Funny things to ask for on the PA system

Today at GL--- er... the Michigan State Championship Event, there was an alert to a 'found' red comb and Verizon phone... We're lucky the comb was not keys, and Lady Ga Ga's "Just Dance" was not playing at the same time.

I hope the comb and keys found their way back to their owner!!!
