I've seen a lot of that.
Teams bring in BOMs on infected sticks. Lots of viruses also come in on the Classmates and pass infections through sticks used to apply the DS and other updates. They then get passed to the Inspectors PC. Reserve one stick containing your BOM for one-time use at the Inspectors station, then clean it before you use it anywhere else. Using a stick that locks is safest.
