Re: Funny things to ask for on the PA system

At GLR-[cough] erm...Michigan State Championships, after the matches were over today, I asked if they could put out a request for Team 240.

ALL of Team 240.

They didn't show. It made me very sad...

Re: Funny things to ask for on the PA system

Not a request but today at Las Vegas, I was standing on our pit table during the day sometime putting a poster on the scaffolding and I heard over the PA "Team 39 Needs A stepstool!"

It was a pretty good laugh for us.

Re: Funny things to ask for on the PA system

1501 and 2791 had a nice running joke about us "borrowing" their practice bot. A team tried to run a pit announcement asking for it, but no dice.

MN Northstar Pit admin is pretty no-nonsense and sharp, but we have got away with requesting an "FTL Drive" for two years in a row.

At Lonestar this year, we enjoyed a good joke - we asked for WildTime Orbit Balls

In addition, the team immediately after us stated that they needed more pylons

At the CT regional this weekend, they asked for the Orkin man to report to the pit for Team 236... (for those of you who are not familiar, Team 236 is the Techno-Ticks!)

I'm actually tempted to try that one...

Also, I was talking to 2791 and 1501. And the joke came up that Chris was actually going to go up there and have them request 1501's robot for 2791 in CT. I would've highly enjoyed hearing that.
