Bearing support - Official
If you drill a hole ( this is not precision Mfg.) in a piece of metal and insert a bushing ( allowed under the rules) to gain suport for a motor shaft this is very legal and this also good construction practice. This method will relieve stress (side load) on the motor or sprocket.
