Leaving springs off the list was an error. They are legal if: they are off the shelf and NOT custom manufactured by you or someone else.
Please use caution in usage of energy storage devices, If they pose a health and safety risk the inspectors may rule them unsafe and they will be removed from your robot. Please consider safety.
