Re: Rooting for 3333
Team 3357 often had a responsive chant going: "33" -- "57".
It confused me one time why they were cheering for Team 33 in Match 57 (Yes, the Bees played in match 57 at MSC.) |

Thanks to everyone who was rooting for our team! We starting freaking out about multiples of 3 at the competition....seeing 3's in everything from at one point being the 3rd seed to having three students on our team to...well, let's just say it got a little out of control. One time, one of the team members asked me what time it was....yes, 3:33pm.
Anyway, our success was the result of the professional graciousism (I'm coining a new term) of so many other teams. Really, I kept telling people that our team was not only the "Ultimate Rookie Experience," but the ultimate example of "Gracious Professionalism" because of all the kindness we received from other teams demonstrated in practical help with everything from LabView programming to a failed digital sidecar to a failed solenoid. Whew! This is an incredible community of professionals and of course, KILLER BEES! Thanks to Teams 1592 (Cocoa, FL), 1619 (Longmont, CO) and 399 (Lancaster, CA.), 1817 and many, many more! Herb Beaven JHS Industrial Arts Teacher / Mentor - JHS Robotics Team 3333! (Quad Three) What do you think about Quad Three Robotics as a new team name? |

Re: Rooting for 3333
Congrats on a successful season! We loved helping you guys long-distance, and had really hoped and prayed that you'd make it to the Championship so we could finally meet you! Next year we'll have to make it happen somehow!

Re: Rooting for 3333
At WPI, I was trying to encourage my team to cheer for 20 and 2791 in a qual match by chanting "20" *clap* "791!" repeatedly. I wish it caught on...

Re: Rooting for 3333
It's fun to think of cool alliances that could be formed with team numbers.
Examples: 11, 88, 1188 33, 57, 3357 16, 25, 1625 111, 114, 1114 217, 71, 2171 21, 71, 2171 28, 34, 2834 125, 51, 1251 And of course, any combination of 1, 11, 111, and 1111. Out of those, I think 16, 25, and 1625 is the most scary alliance. |
