New CNC Technology - 5 Axis

This is by far the coolest and the newest CNC Mill(?) that I have seen. Anyone's budget big enough to buy this?

Um... jealous is something I rarely become... but now I have to go so far as to say jealous has become an understatement!

(Although I dont doubt the cutting procedure and CAD for that helmet was insanely tedious.)

Imagine what you could do with that thing if your team owned one.
This machine has left me in awe...

Nothing, because it would take you forever to figure out how to setup and program it

Absolutely GORGEOUS. Thank you for the link!

Is it really only 5 axes? It looks like that thing could bend time and space.

Re: New CNC Technology - 5 Axis

5 Axis mills are a pain to program for. But, on the other hand, they allow some fairly interesting parts. The company I'm working for is contracting some 5 axis work for simple Mecanum wheels, similar in shape to the Andymark sheet metal wheels, but milled out of a single block. They're fun machines to watch.
