Re: Archimedes 2010

Only 5 more days until we show Atlanta how spirited Archimedes is! Anyone excited.

I think this thread needs more spirit; how else are we going to beat the Curie and Newton post count?

Because his name is used to represent one of the best divisions in Atlanta. There are a ton of good robots down there!

He made the Archimedes Screw. Used a lot in 2006 and 2009!

Re: Archimedes 2010

Hey guys

I was just doing a little pre scouting and when I tried to find pictures on The Blue Alliance I realized that many teams did not have a photo posted.

I was hoping that maybe we could post pictures of all the robots or if someone knew a place with more pictures and could show me the way.

Any help would be great.

Re: Archimedes 2010

sorry if this is a dumb question, but I can't find this information anywhere!

Does anybody have the link for the championship webcast (specifically the Archimedes field)? I know NASA usually does it, but I can only find the links to this year's archived footage on their site.

Archimedes looks like a lot of fun but if I'm on another field I will be sure and drop by to tell the refs to look for C-clamps on the field after you play! Good luck! Can't wait to see the new stuff!

On behalf of team 1241, joining as a late entry we are excited to be in the Archimedes Division and can't wait till Atlanta!

P.S If you started using the scouting sheets by using the list off of UsFirst you might not have caught our team cause it haden't been updated till recently. Just a heads up and Good Luck to all teams!

Re: Archimedes 2010

Here's 176's robot in DC. Sorry it's a bit blurry. The only clear picture has the robot a lot smaller and in darker lighting :/

We're using a 6 wheel articulating drive driven by 4 CIMs on the AM Toughboxes, a hanging mechanism on a winch with a dog gear, and a spring loaded kicker pulled back by a window motor.

I made that call, thank you very much!

But I'll let you like Cowboy Ref, him being the favorite MI ref who will be in Atlanta.
