I'll try... :|

I think. Also, I just remember that TST locked all our iBooks so I can't use Applescript!

BTW, I PM'ed Brandon the Applescript and asked him about the IP address for uploading the info.

I use WMP. Just cause I'm too lazy to get winamp and wmp lets me mess with my subwooders settings really easily.

I am currently using winamp 2 because winamp 3 is really slow on my comp. Also, if you use a shortcut key like 'b' (goes to next song) it takes forever to change (3 seconds) while in winamp 2 it is instantanious. Winamp 3 is cool though because of the cool skins you can get (*cough* my crappy first skin that i never finished */cough*) hehe.

About shortcut keys:
I downloaded a simple plugin (not really a plugin, just a set of exes) that cause winamp to either pause, play, skip to the next track, or skip to the previous track. With that, and a Logitech keyboard with three configurable (software) hotkeys, I had immediate access to play, pause, next, and previous, no matter what window had focus on the desktop...

That's a gutsy thing to say. Winamp 2.7.6 is the most stable mp3 player ever. Tons and tons of people will tell you that.

Sonique, on the other hand, tends to eat much of your processing power. I call that useless.

Currently, I use Winamp 3 for my audio files. I was thinking of going back to 2.8 because the CPU usage is a bit high, but the new features are nice. For video files, I use BsPlayer. It's a nice video player with support for divx, among other formats. Low CPU usage and an easy interface... not bloatware like WMP.

This might be because you have fading enabled.
I didn't like winamp3 also because when you had it on random, you couldn't go "back" and get back to the same song you were at, which I guess makes sense, but I get very agitated when I can't go back to the song I was just on.
I liked the abilites of winamp 3 to be able to enqueque certain songs INSIDE a playlist. I wish UPS would hurry up and deliver my heatsink so I could put together my new system....

I use the original wmp (before the fluff) that comes with every windows installtion to play videos!

If you don't know what I mean
C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\mplayer2.exe

That also is a gutsy thing to say. I've never had any version of XMMS crash on me ever...I'm not going to say it's the most stable because that's nearly impossible to prove. I'd be willing to bet winamp is easier to crash than XMMS. (Thousands of programmers can fix bugs in XMMS when theres only a limited few who have the Winamp source.)

Yay for opensource!

I don't see the point in having closed-source free software. If they were selling Winamp, I could see how that would make a difference...but they're not. Sheesh.

I crash winamp 2.78 at least once a day, and i don't keep my computer on all the time. If anything steals the sound inbetween songs winamp tries to play it, throws an error, and crashes. Stupid AIM.
