Another one that's used a lot is panthers. In New Jersey in 2007 I think there were three or four teams (us included) with names derived from panthers.
Now we're "The Westech Anomaly" or "Team Anomaly". This comes from our robot's name, Anomaly, which has been around since our team was "The Anarchists", which we dropped around 2005 because it was deemed to be unfit for a team name. I found that putting "The" in front of anything makes it sound cool.
