I'm also MIT 2014.

I've been looking into teams to mentor in the Boston/Cambridge area. 97 seems to be the official MIT team, but I know that 125 and 88 are in that area as well. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

Its between pure electrical engineering (6-1) and EECS (6-2). I'm leaning towards the latter, because I want to do everything

MIT '14 here as well. Probably will be studying Course 6.

Not sure about helping a specific team yet but definitely will volunteer at the Boston Regional.

Three of our seniors are attending Stevens Institute of Technology in NJ. One of those seniors was asked to do research as a freshman when juniors and seniors typically do it, all because she was on a FIRST team for 4 years.

I am only a junior, so I have not done college applications yet, but I do have plans for the future. I will probably mentor a team if the college I attend has one close by. Despite the fact if there will be a team close by or not, I will go back and mentor 1676. Once A Pioneer always a pioneer! I also plan on volunteering at regionals if I have the time to do so.

97 is sponsored by MIT and uses MIT resources, and 246 (BU team) and 125 (Northeastern team) are also nearby and easily accessible. I'm not currently with a team because I've got plenty of other things going on at MIT right now, but volunteering at the Boston Regional is amazing!

I am amazed (but not surprised) at how many FIRST folks end up at MIT. Please, please take it from an old fart like me and get as much education at the finest technical school on the planet, and don't screw up by playing with FIRST (unless you are already getting straight As). Your job is to get educated, and anything less than an A means you need to work at it more.

(By the way: Most of you are probably straight A students in high school. College is harder. A "C" at MIT is nothing to be ashamed of.)

MIT '14 - Course 7 (Biology)! I confuse so many people when I tell them I've been in robotics for three years but I still want to be a bio major.

I also want to mentor a team, if possible. Seems like it would be a lot of fun.
