Defensive Manuevering

I know we can't sit in the 'white zone' of the tower in a defenseive 'goaltending' position, but can we be in the white zone while removing balls from the tower?

Basically, can we be in the white without the intention of blocking balls from input?

White Zone

Your robot may not cover or block from the top of the tube.

Your robot may not reach into the tube in the white zone area.

If you want to remove a ball it must be in the legal area.

Intent: To promote scoring and stop a team from just placing their arm directly over or just under the ball entrance.

There are other more exciting ways to play defense.

I am sure teams will figure it out.

Tower Construction

In the tower, how is the pivot point anchored between the pieces of plywood? Secondly, how are the PVC tubes mounted to the flanges?

goal

The PVC tubes set into the flanges and are tigntened down. there is a plug in each to stop the crushing of the tube.

As for the center pivot, I will refer this to Jim Zontag the craftsman that constructed the unit.

How it is made is not important as long as your goal rotates on or about a center. Yours is only for practice.
