Autonomous Helicopters
Attached is a link to a Northrop Press Release with discussions about testing of an unmanned helicopter.
I am posting this because this helicopter can perform many of its functions autonomously (take-off, landing) and also operates by remote control (aka "teleoperated mode" in firstspeak). I thought this would be of interest to some CD readers. http://www.irconnect.com/noc/press/p....html?d=190323

The Northrop Grumman entry is based on technology already in use by the fully autonomous Fire Scout:

I saw something like this up at the University of Minnesota during a tour at last year's tournaments, but it was just a RC helicopter. This looks really neat.
