inventor 2011

Has anyone else used the new inventor yet? If so any comments?

I personally fine it nicer to use then 2010 and Solidworks 2009-2010.

Re: inventor 2011

I haven't installed it yet, though browsing some videos on YouTube it looks like improved from the previous version.

*needs to get around to installing it*

Re: inventor 2011

You can finally type in commands and dimensions before drawing like AutoCad! that just makes it awesome.

Re: inventor 2011

I downloaded it yesterday, and i love it, as has already been said, it has my favorite features from AutoCAD, I really dislike solidworks, I think that inventor is a much better program.

Re: inventor 2011

to me it seems faster to use with autocad features and the general appearance is sharper

Re: inventor 2011

It's the perfect AutoCAD inventor hybrid. In about 3 hours I was able to finish a new drivetrain my strategy guy wanted. I'd say it's a must have.

Re: inventor 2011

I haven't installed it yet but I remember that 2011 will not have the classic menu layout that 2010 had the option for, which for me is rather annoying.

Then again I have just about every keybind memorized any ways so it won't be much a big deal. I'm excited to try out the autocad drafting features though.

I don't like SolidWorks that much either. How's the rendering in the new Inventor?

its great. you can put you model in a 3d room and even work on it when its there. it is very impressive. how ever you will need a work horse of a laptop to even thing of really working on it that way.
