The site sends a registration e-mail to the address that you signed up with that contains a link that you need to click to activate your account. If you signed up with your mentor's e-mail account then you need to have him go to that e-mail and activate the account. Does your mentor know that you are doing this?
Edit: It may also be that he already used that e-mail to make an account. |
