I had the opportunity to talk with 4 out of the 6 students along with the 3 engineers and the football coach turned FIRST mentor at the Wrap Party Saturday night in Atlanta. These students had MANY obstacles to overcome, some of which were envoirnmental and others that were administrative. If it were not for 3 young engineers wanting to give back and a motivated football coach that now is the most excited member of the team, there is no telling what sort of pitfalls these students would have fallen into.
Truly an inspiring story and one that I will be forwarding out to all of the school admins, Rosie kids and parents with story line of; "You think you've got it tough? Watch this."
