Winnovation Robotics Clinic 2010

Please come join team 1625 for the 3rd annual Winnovation Robotics Clinic.

Who?
High school students and mentors participating
on First Robotics Teams in the
Midwest

What?
Two-day robotics clinic covering:
Manufacture and design— CAD, drive
trains, arm design, electrical, LabVIEW
Animation and programming
Strategy—translating game design to
robot design, project management basics,
scouting
Beyond the robot—fundraising, FIRST
website basics, spirit team, PR, basic
graphics, FIRST awards, mentor roundtable

Why?
Who needs an excuse to play with robots?
Other details
Cost: $60 (includes 10 hours of classroom
and hands-on learning, all meals, accommodations
and T-shirt). Mentors attend at no
charge. $35 for one day clinic
Register: Registration form with $60 payment
due by 6/04/09. Limited to 100 participants.

Accommodations:
Team 1625 members are hosting participating
teams at their houses. Please bring sleeping
bags, egg shell or blow-up mattresses,
towels, pillows etc.....

Food and Fun Stuff:
The clinic starts on Friday June 11 at 9:00am.
Lunch and dinner will be served with a bonfire,
swimming and LAN party in the evening,
weather permitting. Saturday starts at
8:30AM with breakfast. Classes continue with
a lunch break and finish up at 4:30pm.
Getting here: We are located 20 miles west of
Rockford. Teams are welcome to drive or
Team 1625 will transport students from Van
Galder Rockford bus station (serving Chicago
and Madison) to and from clinic. Hotels are
available in Rockford which is 20 miles from
the school.
