Sadly I just received word that we're going to have to cancel our event this year due to lack of team participation. Hopefully we'll see everyone next year when we try again.

We were ramping up this week to have everything ready.
Batteries are on charge

How many teams did you need to break even and how many signed up?

It'd be worth polling the teams to find out if there was a common reason they couldn't come.
E.g., the SATs on Saturday were a problem for our main driver, but since we get freshmen to drive at off-seasons it wasn't an issue for us.
Some team members were off to pick up brothers or sisters from college that day too.

I hate seeing events canceled. I run the MARC event and this is our 4th year and are expecting 42 teams. Our first year (2007) 12 teams, 2008- 24, 2009- 32, and this year we are full at 42. I was told by everyone to cancel the event due to lack of participants but I refussed and paid for it on my credit card. We have come a long way and it all started because I refussed to cancel.

Yes, it's a shame for the lack of support. I was just forwarded this by a FIRST friend and was looking forward to stopping in as an 810 alum.
