Re: FIRST Playing cards? PLEASE comment.
I like the idea of having different editions, like games, people, teams, awards, events, etc.
No matter what you put on them, I'll probably end up buying some. I'd like one for myself, plus they'd make great end-of-year gifts for graduating seniors, mentors, and other people. |

Re: FIRST Playing cards? PLEASE comment.
No, they would not be trading cards. They would be reg. playing cards.
We have discussed the issue of getting permissions and such. Now, we do have a problem. We cannot sell anything with our team logo (permissions issue), and we cannot sell anything with the FIRST logo. So we are stuck on what to put on the back (we do want to incorporate our team name and number on there somehow). What could we put on the backs? |

Re: FIRST Playing cards? PLEASE comment.
I made up a deck or two years ago when mentoring a team. It was for our own team members to use, however.
Just an aside, as nice as it would be to have the cards to use when back at the hotel, our team prohibited playing cards, video games, etc. when at competitions. |

Re: FIRST Playing cards? PLEASE comment.
Legalities/permissions notwithstanding, I think four suits would be cool:
People (Dean, Woody, Dave, plus some WFAs. Andy Baker as a nun would be my suggestion for the queen) Games (The last 13 FIRST games in order) Famous Robots (The best and most famous - or infamous - FIRST robots. 71 in 2002. 469 in 2010. etc. Some subjectivity here of course) Hall of Fame Teams (The last 13 FIRST Hall of Fame teams that still exist) On the back, put your team name/number/color/whatever. I would pay $5 for that. |

Re: FIRST Playing cards? PLEASE comment.
I'm interested in purchasing at least one
our team tends to play in rides to various competitions as I'm sure others do as well so what a great idea! |

Re: FIRST Playing cards? PLEASE comment.
http://twitpic.com/1vspz6 Found these when going through my closet this morning. They don't have anything special on the other side but I figured I would show you how other teams have done similar things.
