2010 IRI Hotels

I just booked Hilton Indianapolis North through the Hilton Team Member Travel Program and the only room types I was offered were

King Bed
King Bed + Twin sleeper sofa.

I don't know if they allocate different types of rooms for the TMTP Discount vs the general public's availability, but I figured I would just put the information out there.

(Being from the Disney & Central FL area, I find it strange that Indiana's hotel tax is 17% where ours is only 13%)

I'm pretty sure Marion County (Indianapolis) only levies 10% tax on hotel stays. The 17% figure obviously includes the 7% Indiana state sales tax.

I'll be staying at the Hotel Indigo. I'll probably need help with transportation. If there is anyone who is staying in that area (I-69 and 96th St.) who would be able to provide me with transportation to the High School, it would be greatly appreciated.

Most of the extra tax it to pay for the new arena where the Colts play. My sister who lives in Indy, but is not a big Colts fan, was rather annoyed, especially since there is also a "Colts Arena Surcharge" on restaurant food too.
