NASA Administrator plugs FIRST

Anybody catch this on NASA TV or through an internship town hall yesterday?

I can't seem to find a recording of it, but Charlie Bolden talked for a few minutes about how much he loves FIRST.

Re: NASA Administrator plugs FIRST

I saw it. I watched the town hall meeting at Stennis Space Center as part of the USRP program I'm involved in.

About 10 minutes prior to him speaking so fondly of it, I was telling one of my intern friends about FIRST. He had never heard of it.

It's great that he spoke so well of the program.

Re: NASA Administrator plugs FIRST

It is great to see that NASA is so fond of what they are helping to fund. NASA has been a large part in helping FIRST and to hear them talk so highly of us is inspiring in itself to keep growing the FIRST community.

@RyanN if only that would happen with more people, who knows what would happen.

Re: NASA Administrator plugs FIRST

Working with FIRST is a darn sight more useful than their new "perhaps foremost" feel good mission:

NASA's new mission: Building ties to Muslim world

File that under "You can't make this stuff up".

Very few posts on Chief Delphi have irritated me but this one has.

First of all, the column linked to is written by Byron York who writes conservative political columns for the Washington Examiner, one sided Republican talking points. Since it is so political in nature, I kinda hoped it would be taken down. I will not respond to it to help keep politics out of CD.

Second, I was offended by the anti Muslim inference of the post and the article. It has no place in anything related to FIRST.
