Re: 2010 Big Apple Breakaway (10/2) at Francis Lewis HS

Big Apple Breakaway was an exceptional off-season event! Team 375 wants to thank all of people who dedicated their time to its organization. Francis Lewis High School was very kind to host the tournament while the volunteers worked up quite a sweat to make sure the event ran smoothly and on time. Thank you!

The teams demonstrated great sportsmanship and were a pleasure to compete with whether we were together behind the glass or facing each other as opponents. Of coarse, Team 375 has to give special thanks to our alliance members, Team 334 and Team 2265!

First of all, our Chihuahua is a very sensitive animal and sometimes it needs a woman's touch to perform. Team Fe Maidens of Bronx Science, thank you for joining our alliance! During the NY Regional we had to face you as opponents. This time, we were thankful to have you with us. You made our victory possible! After all, women who engineer with an iron fist, what could be better?

However, the combination of a beautiful Maiden and a Plagued Chihuahua cannot be successful without a Knight in the picture! That is why,Team 334, the TechKnights in the shining armor came to our rescue. We couldn't ask for a better offensive player! Thank you for joining us and being such a great alliance member!

Team 375 hopes to work with you all in the future!

So, in conclusion, Good job to everyone! Go Teams!

Great event everyone! Thanks to Mike Siegel and the rest of the crew for doing such a great job with the first Big Apple Breakaway. (And for giving me my first volunteer experience as a ref!) Congrats to the winning alliance and thanks to all the teams for coming out. It was great to meet everyone, and I hope to work with you all again soon!
