[FTC]: Uses For Accelerometers

Hey guys we just recently purchased an accelerometer and I'm wondering what do you find to be good uses for it in competition, other than balancing on the bridge which I find would be easier to do in many other ways. Also does anyone have any good explanations on how to use the accelerometers?

Re: [FTC]: Uses For Accelerometers

If programmed correctly, you can sense the rate at which you're moving. It could also really help if you're using a manipulator arm.
For balancing, however, our programmers say the gyro sensor returns more accurate readings.
