[OCCRA]: 1st event reminders

As we approach the first event Waterford Kettering the OCCRA Leadership has a few reminders for all teams:

1. Have each member with a pair of safety glasses.
2. All teams have job assignments - understand what to do and also lend a hand wherever possible.
3. Pits do not open until the tarps, carpet, field, tables are set-up - we will announce when to bring in the robots and tools.
4. All teams must check in.
5. The pre-inspection form is required - for both VEX and Big Robots.
6. Inspection - get size, weight as soon as possible. Inspection will follow. This MUST be complete before we start matches. We will start match at the scheduled time.
7. Battery management is critical this year. 3A batteries for the controls is critical - have a spare set. Do not forget the 9V back up battery for the cortex.
8. Be ready to follow the schedule - staging is always 1 match prior.
9. Match Starting process:
a. Set the robot on the field (both robots) - Know your color - flag in place
b. Turn on the Cortex (both robots)
c. Turn on the master power (big robots)
d. Signal (wave) operator to connect controls
e. Turn on controls
f. Wait for link (6 seconds) and verify controls also have link
g. All players to starting positions
h. Referees will verify link
I. Vex autonomous starts (20 seconds)
j. Vex score is recorded - un-scored balls are removed from play
k. Match resumes with power to all robots
l. Match ends for Vex - turn off controller (save batteries)
m. Big robots continue for additional 30 seconds
n. Match ends - Turn off controllers (save batteries)
o. Wait for signal to remove robots
p. Clear field and driver stations
q. Field is re-set and next match repeats the process

10. This process may be adjusted as necessary to speed up the event.
11. Awards - all teams to stands
12. Remove robots and tools to your transportation
13. Stay and pack up field
14. Go home and enjoy your great effort.
