[OCCRA]: Partner controller not linking up

Somebody asked a question about partner link-up in the Q&A forum, and only Mike Martus can reply there.

It seems as though your batteries are dead on the partner. Like dead-dead, should change now dead, will not work dead. You should change them before every competition, and again if they die.

There is no configuration for the partner. Connect and go.

Re: [OCCRA]: Partner controller not linking up

1) the batteries are not dead. We have replacedthem several times and it does not look like that kind of a problem.

We may have configured the controller by plugging it into the cortex but if that were true, then it would never link up. This is an intermitent problem. 90% of the time, after turning on the controllers they fail to link to each other but the other 10% of the time, they will linkup no problem and have the proper lightcolors.

WE ARE USING DEFAULT CODE!!!!

Therefore, no firmware should be needed on either controller.
If we do have the partner linked to the cortex, then we need to know how to undo that.

Re: [OCCRA]: Partner controller not linking up

We worked on this at the comp.

Step 1 is to make sure you have a green power light. If it will not link you must reconfigure the control. Follow the steps in the docs. On rare occasions you will need to use a paperclip and reconfigure. Then redownload the firmware yes again. Relink and try. If only partner controller this will work.

Let me know.
