Multiple Regional Questions

This year, we're looking to possibly entering into two regionals. NJ and Philly or Baltimore.

My questions:
1. How much is one extra regional? As in, the amount paid to FIRST. I've heard $4,000 and $5,000.

2. We currently do not have the funds for a second regional, but are working on it. I've heard somewhere we should register for the event, and if we don't make enough to pay our way there we can drop out. Is this true, and does it cost extra/penalize us if we register and then back out?

2. Payment for a second event is due to FIRST by January 28th, 2011. If you reasonably believe you will raise the funds to attend a second event I would register tomorrow to make sure you get a spot.

FIRST will not charge or penalize you if you drop the second event before that date (they will issue a full refund if you have already paid).
