Go to Post No, but you have access to the most powerful machine tool of all; a telephone. We had zero machining sponsors, now we've probably had over 30 unique shops run parts for us; All we did was ask. - AdamHeard [more]

Rockwell Automation sponsorship

Any teams out there that have some experience with receiving sponsorship from Rockwell Automation, and have any information on how/who to contact there?

Re: Rockwell Automation sponsorship

We're also wondering about this. We have an office pretty close by, but the last time we contacted them, they referred us to HQ?

Re: Rockwell Automation sponsorship

You have to have a Rockwell Automation employee as one of your mentors. Rockwell Automation sponsors all levels of FIRST. Once you have a Rockwell employee they can work with you to submit the application to the corporate office. Unless you already have a Rockwell employee working with you, you will miss the application deadline for this year.
If you are interested in trying to gain a Rockwell Automation mentor for your team please pm with your: team name and number, what FIRST competition you are in, school name and location, desired area of expertise, and an email address to contact a head team mentor. I will try to put the word out and what interest is your area. Please note it may take a while to locate an employee who is interested and most teams can speed this process up by having a parent or other resource who already works at Rockwell.
