Question MAX and Cameras....

I feel like such a newbie

I've created a created a camera from a viewport and now i want to make it zoom in so all you see is the biped that i have in the center...however. when i move the camera along a given axis when MAX is in Auto Key Mode, it doesnt set the motion key

I could create a camera from view for each mouse wheel click but i was wondering if there was an eaiser way to do it???
