[FTC]: Magnetic compass help
Our relative heading is spitting out strange numbers like when we've turned our robot 180 degrees its saying we turned 70 degrees. How do we get our relative heading to read correctly?

Re: [FTC]: Magnetic compass help
Last year my FTC teams had trouble with this. There are ways to calibrate it in every programming environment for FTC I think. Also make sure it isn't near anything magnetic. I think the datasheet/web page has specifications for how far it needs to be from types of motors/the nxt.
Good Luck |

Re: [FTC]: Magnetic compass help
Another problem could be either that there is a motor near your compass sensor that is disrupting its received value, or that the building you are in is disrupting the magnetic field.
Good luck. |
