Re: School Size vs. Team Size

I by no means want to side track this thread, so if you would like, please disregard my comments.

OK, now that I've qualified my remarks, here we go.
If the crux of the original conversation was strictly for statistical purposes, then great! But, if you are trying to measure how your team stands comparing it to other teams, then I suggest you stop comparing. It is not good for you, your team or the FIRST community.
Your team is your team. You get from it what you put into it.

As I like to say, "It's not what you do it with, it's what you do with it."

Now for the numbers:

25-35 students.
1 Advisor.
2 Engineering Mentors.
3 Alumni/College student Mentors.
7-10 involved parents.
~1500 student body.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I agree that it is not healthy to make your team more like other teams based on what is, "Most common," or even compare your team to other teams.

The only reason I created this thread was to see the diversity in the FIRST community. It was not to compare our team to other teams, it was really just to see what was out there, because I literally had no idea what was really out there.

Thank you very much for your concern, and we will be sure to use this information more for extending our knowledge of FIRST rather than the betterment of our own team.
