After years and years of building one of the best robots in FIRST, Wildstang won their first championship in 2003. Their theme for the 2004 unveiling video: "Encore." Sooooo bad@$$.

This video was a huge morale boost for me in the middle of a rough season. I think we watched it about a million times that year, and many times since.

The Robowranglers have been trying to be this cool with our videos ever since.

PS - As I pulled up the YouTube video, the first 5 seconds played out loud. My girlfriend commented from the other side of the room -- "Is that Encore?" Yeah... this video had an impact.

Looking at these nominations, there are some pretty clear stand outs that deserve to be mentioned. I think 111 can be credited with defining what it means to make a teaser. They set the standard for all the videos that followed. Wildstang accounts for all but of the pre 2007 nominations.

Since then, I think 118 and 148 stand out in a league of their own. Together, they account for 7 out of the 11 nominations. They are the only teams with more than one nomination. Year after year, they have consistently produced teasers that have simply blown me away. Their videos do an excellent job of show casing their robot with a fierce intensity that makes you fear for the safety of your robot.

A video i have somewhere from River Rage 2009 where one of the moon rocks (i think those were the game pieces) that was thrown by a human player and landed on top of the center piece of our trailer and stayed on top for about 10 seconds.

Also another video I have from Battlecry this year where there was a triple hang.
